At North Star we repair and manufacture sails. Our sail maker has 9 years experience and has worked on all manner of sails from Sabots to Americas cup mains. We have repair clients all around Mission Bay in San Diego. We are very familiar with the repairs common to small boat sails.  Batten pocket trouble, corroded plates, broken batten tabs, torn sunbrella UV protection, broken zippers and worn out webbing. We can change or replace numbers, retro fit reef points, put on a new luff, pretty much any repair commonly associated with small boat sails.

North Star is also an original equipment manufacturer for Point Sails/Buck Designs and Whirlwind Sails. Half of our week is spent manufacturing sails, from Hobie cats and Prindles, to Capris and Catalinas, we haven’t just repaired them all, we’ve made them all. North Star also offers it’s own sails to the public. Our catamaran sails include Main and tell tale windows, vinyl shroud protection on the batten pockets, and reinforcement on the luff end of the battens.
